Articles, Photos, and up to date information about the happenings at Temple Emanuel!
I was born on March 13, 2004 to a loving family - my father Jon and my mother Bahar, whom I love dearly. I am also lucky to have a little sister, Ella, who is 10 years old, whom I cannot wait to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah in a few years, as well. Currently, I am attending Paul Revere Middle School in 7th grade. I love to spend time with my friends playing basketball, and very proud to be black belted in Karate which I have been doing since I was 5 years old.
For my Bar Mitzvah, I chose my project to be MAJOR Fund, a Jewish-Muslim Organized Relief Partnership. Their most recent project was to help refugees fleeing Syria. This organization helps both Jewish and Muslim communities to build a bond in Los Angeles. I feel pride in helping this organization to collect money for their cause. Unfortunately Syrians had a very tough life back at home, it will be an honor for me to help them in anyway I can.
At the end, I would like to thank Rabbi Sarah Bassin, Josh Goldberg, and Cantor Lizzie Weiss for helping me prepare for my Bar Mitzvah.
