I am in 7th grade at Milken Community School and love it. I am on the middle-school robotics team and love working with 3D printers. My passion is to work with all things mechanical, like motors, robots, computers, and anything I can take apart, build, or create to solve for an issue. I’ve had a jewelry business and I have fundraised for veterans, the homeless in Los Angeles, and children in Nepal over the past five years.

For my bar mitzvah project I am collecting socks (#socksforsyrians). We have been studying refugees in hebrew school and recently took an interactive refugee tour at the Skirball Museum. This experience was impactful and really brought to life the struggles that people have to go to with their families as they try to enter another country.

"Syria has been a living nightmare for children and families tormented by six years of war and unimaginable hardship." After looking at Save the Syrian Children's website, I saw that socks were needed across all age groups. Then it came to me that socks are so important to refugees as they need to keep their feet healthy to walk long distances at any time. Refugees definitely need to keep their feet warm, dry, and in good shape.

If you want to know more about the Syrian effort across Los Angeles to provide support to current refugees, please see: http://thebigfill.org/.

I am deeply greatful for Rabbi Aaron, Rabbi Bassin and Cantor Weiss for believing in me throughout this bar mitzvah project. They make things fun and really motivate me to succeed. They are the best!

“I am the one thing in life I can control. I am inimitable. I am an original.”
