I am currently in 7th grade at Brentwood School.  I enjoy playing basketball, singing, and hanging out with my friends.  My wonderful parents Laura and Randy, and my brothers Jack and Nate, are very supportive with my Hebrew, excited to see me on the bima and to celebrate my big day.

For my Mitzvah Project, I decided to raise money for Israel Sports Center for the Disabled. I was first introduced to this amazing organization by my Mom’s friend.  ISCD gives young people who have been paralyzed a chance to enjoy their lives through sports.  I had the opportunity to meet and play with a few young men who came over to play basketball in their wheelchairs.

I was so amazed by their determination and hard work.  I am determined to raise awareness and money for this one of a kind center. I am so excited about my Bat Mitzvah and I would like to thank my family, Rabbi Aaron, Cantor Weiss, Jeff Magder, and Allison Bluestein for all their support in helping me prepare for this very special day.

“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.”
