Temple Emanuel’s Caring Community is committed to fostering connections between members of all ages and needs.  There are times in life where we need a helping hand, a meal, comfort, or someone to celebrate with us.  Volunteers in the Caring Community work to enhance the sense of Emanuel’s community and provide outreach to those in need.

If you would like to volunteer for the Caring community we have many opportunities for you and are open to your suggestions and ideas.

If you have experienced a loss or a simcha we would like to know how we can help you.

Caring Community Outreach

Baby Baskets
For our youngest members we assemble and deliver a baby basket as a welcome to the world.

Soup Jars
When notified by the clergy office that a member is ill, we deliver a soup jar to ease the pain.

Sympathy Cards
Whether in illness or in loss, we seek to provide comfort and encouragement with these sympathy cards sent to those who are suffering from illness or a recent loss.

New Member Baskets
We would like to welcome you with style.  If you are a new member, expect a welcome basket from the Caring Community.

Dealing with Your Aging Parents Support Group

This is a group for congregants that are dealing with the challenges of caring for their aging parents. We have been meeting once a month to share, discuss, and learn together how to care for ourselves and at the same time care for our elderly parents.
