Imagine LA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to mobilizing volunteer teams in the community to end the cycle of family homelessness, poverty, and neglect. Each volunteer is matched with a family member and guided by our professional staff, and together they walk on a journey toward self-sufficiency for the family.

Mentorship relationships transform, inspire, and help families break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.

"I love volunteering with Imagine LA because it is a very hands on program. Being a mentor to the mother has been very rewarding. I have provided her with support and advice and watched as she has maintained stable housing, resolved legal issues, obtained a job, and has been able to care for her two-year-old son in a safe environment.  We have now helped three families, and I’m excited that we have a second Temple Emanuel team being formed, trained, and soon-to-be-matched with a homeless family. Along with my fellow Temple Emanuel members Bob Jason and Stacey Raskin, we are all able to bring very different strengths to the table, and, as a result, provide extensive and comprehensive support to our Imagine LA families.”
