At Temple Emanuel we believe learning is a lifelong journey. Education is one of the cornerstones of our congregation and our outstanding educational programs reflect a commitment to lifelong learning. We offer a nationally recognized and award-winning Early Childhood Center, an interactive and dynamic Religious School with innovative project-centered curriculum, Youth and Teen enrichment programs, and a diverse and engaging Adult Education programming.
The Temple Emanuel Family Center offers developmentally appropriate classes designed to involve pre-parents, parents, and children up to three years of age. Parents and caregivers learn together with children in an interactive and stimulating environment that promotes social skills, artistic expression, and family bonding.
Early Childhood Center: 2.2 – Pre-K
Temple Emanuel’s Early Childhood Center offers an innovative, developmentally-sensitive curriculum. From the moment children enter our school, we present endless opportunities to develop positive self-esteem and creativity.
Religious School: Pre-K – 12th
Before a child enters their formal Jewish education, whether it be religious school, or preschool, the home and family are often the primary sources of Jewish identity. During the Religious School years, the Synagogue, the Religious School and the family work in partnership to develop a community that is educated and committed as Jews. Through formal study, informal education, participation in the life of the Synagogue, and family experiences, our students develop and enhance their understanding of their Jewish identity within the larger context of the Jewish people. At Temple Emanuel’s Religious School, we believe that experiencing and “Living Judaism” is the best way to learn about our religion.
Beit Sefer Tikhon (BeST): 8th – 12th
Adolescenece is its own unique time, distinct from the experiences of childhood or adulthood. This is why we have devloped BeST (Beit Sefer Tikhon), a series of meaningful experiences specifically designed to benefit teens. Our teens face a world punctuated by standardized testing, rigorous acadmic schedules, and fierce competition for coveted college placements. BeST provides them with the opportunity to unplug from the pressures of the week and enjoy the Temple Emanuel community.
