Our pre-Hanukkah celebration at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills has something for everyone.
With delicious food, latkes, and sufganyot to tempt your tastebuds, and our magnificent Soul Singers performing, join us for a memorable afternoon.
Stories, songs and lunch begin at 11:30 am in the Greer Social Hall. Activities, crafts, and paper midrash begin at 12:15 pm.
Paper Midrash Pop Culture Torah with Isaac and Rabbi Shawna Brynjegard-Bialik
Isaac & Rabbi Shawna Brynjegard-Bialik have a powerful
one-two punch, bringing together contemporary art, pop
culture, and scholarship Join us for a hands-on papercutting
workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to to study text
and create your own visual midrash. No experience
necessary — you don’t have to know how to paint or draw.
We bring the scissors, knives and comic books, you bring
your enthusiasm!
For our ECC families we have Hanukkah on the playground, with crafts, games, music, and more. AND we’ll have an ECC version of paper midrash with stickers!
We kindly ask everyone to RSVP so we have enough food and fun for everyone. You can RSVP for free and pre-register in the form below.
