A message from Rabbi Jonathan Aaron

Our hearts are with the people of Israel during this dark time.

There are multiple avenues to provide assistance to the Israeli victims of terror. You can explore the links below to donate to organizations dedicated to aiding those afflicted by the ongoing violence.

Join our campaign to send 180 trauma kits to forces on the ground in Israel.

Each trauma kit is $360. How many kits can you help us send?

All contributions matter, regardless of the size.

If you’ve already donated, we thank you for your contribution!

These trauma kits save lives and make a real difference for those who need it most.

Join us for How Did We Get Here: The Context of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict in the Belle Chapel on Tuesday, November 14 @ 7 p.m., with Rabbi Jonathan Aaron and historian guest Dror Yaron.

There is so much information and disinformation online about the war in Israel that makes it difficult to understand the context and history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We want to provide an evening where we can offer an historical perspective to the events of the last three weeks, so that you may acquire facts and information that will be helpful when talking to others about the situation in Israel. Please join us for this much-needed session – where you will have an opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insight.

Join Rabbi Aaron on Wednesday, November 7 @ 7 p.m. in the Belle Chapel to discuss from a personal standpoint how the war in Israel is effecting us, and our emotions surrounding the events taking place. This gathering is intended as a debrief, to take a pause, and to reflect on the past few weeks.

Art can be a useful and creative tool for processing grief and fear, which are emotions that many of us are feeling during this uncertain and dark time. Join Rabbi Liora Alban for Mixed Media Midrash For Israel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 16 in our foyer, for a brief text study and art creation, using a range of creative materials. This will be a moment to reflect on the past few weeks and to use art as a creative way of processing.

Join us in our Corwin Family Sanctuary foyer on Fridays from 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. for letter writing to Israeli soldiers. In solidarity we will send our blessings, our prayers, and our messages of support.
