Shabbat Unplugged: Honoring Rabbi Laura Geller’s 50 Years in the Rabbinate

Join us for a special Shabbat Unplugged as we celebrate Rabbi Emerita Laura Geller and honor her extraordinary 50 years in the rabbinate.
In 1994, Rabbi Geller became the first woman to lead a major metropolitan congregation when she came to Temple Emanuel. Earlier, she broke new ground as the first female rabbi to serve as Hillel Director at the University of Southern California.
Temple Emanuel’s signature in-the-round service features spiritually uplifting music, meditation, and poetry. Add your voice alongside our clergy and the Unplugged Band as we share the beautiful music of Shabbat in a warm, intimate setting.
This meaningful evening offers an opportunity to celebrate Rabbi Geller’s legacy and the lasting impact of her leadership.
