Men’s Club Presents: Yom Ha’atzmaut Program with Dror Yaron
Our Men’s Club is back with another compelling discussion, featuring seasoned educator Dror Yaron.
With more than three decades dedicated to the deep and wide-ranging study of the Middle East, Dror has spent over fifteen years teaching the renowned Middle Eastern Studies course at Harvard-Westlake School—a class reserved for some of the school’s most intellectually driven students. Fluent in Hebrew and working in Arabic, he challenges participants to engage thoughtfully with the region’s complexities, offering a rigorous and balanced exploration of topics such as the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, the intersection of politics and Islam, and the geopolitical forces shaping the modern Middle East.
Following his impactful address to the Temple Emanuel community in November 2023—just after the events of October 7—Dror returns at another pivotal and turbulent moment in the region’s history. Join us as he continues this important conversation, offering insights and perspectives to help us better understand the rapidly evolving dynamics of the Middle East today.
