Sound bath havdalah

Saturday, February 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Temple Emanuel & Maaleh Hayim Havdalah

Sacred Drops: Finding Holiness in Everyday Moments
Please Note: Early Start Time — 5:30 p.m.

On this date, our Havdalah & Sound Bath gathering will begin earlier than usual at 5:30 p.m. for a special expanded program.

Join Rabbi Aaron for a special evening expanding our Havdalah experience with learning, ritual, and sound. This unique program begins with a teaching on the spiritual power of water in Jewish tradition, followed by our beloved sound bath.

Water has long been a Jewish symbol of creation, transition, and renewal. Before Havdalah, we will explore how everyday encounters with water—washing our hands, brushing our teeth, washing our face at night—can become intentional rituals that help us pause, release, and begin again.

Through Jewish texts and shared reflection, we will consider how tradition invites us to notice not only life’s major milestones, but also the small transitions that quietly shape our days.

Participants will:

  • Explore Jewish teachings about water, transition, and renewal

  • Reflect on the meaning found in everyday routines

  • Learn how simple rituals can help mark both big and small moments with presence and gratitude

Dress comfortably and make yourself cozy! You’ll have the chance to sit or lay down. If you’d prefer to lie down, feel free to bring a yoga mat or towel to lay on plus a blanket (optional of course, but delightful).
