ALL GENERATIONS SERVICE

This year, our Family Service will be replaced with a unique service for all ages. The service will be an hour and a half and will feature our co-generational choir.

YOUNG CHILDREN’S SERVICE

Our Young Children’s Service, High Holy Days in the Yard, is a great opportunity for families with children to enjoy an hour prayer experience filled with stories, songs, arts and crafts, and the shofar blast!

Families with children ages 8 and under are invited to join us for these special outdoor High Holy Day services at Temple Emanuel’s ECC Pavilion.

  • Rosh Hashanah – Day 1: Saturday, September 12, at 9:30 a.m.
  • Yom Kippur: Monday, September 21, at 9:45 a.m.

Rabbi Liora Alban and Jason Mesches will lead a joyful service featuring songs, stories, and the sound of the shofar as we welcome the New Year together.

Non-members, as well as friends and relatives of Temple Emanuel members, are welcome to attend by purchasing High Holy Day tickets here.

tashlich

Tuesday, September 12 at 5:30 p.m., gather with our clergy (PCH & Temescal Canyon Road) for Tashlich—a ritual for all generations.

Together we’ll reflect on what we’re ready to release and center our intentions for the year ahead, making space for the choices that bring purpose, connection, and joy. Bring a towel or chair for comfort! This simple, family-friendly ritual is open and complimentary to all.

Childcare

Temple Emanuel will offer childcare for potty-trained children through age 8 during the following High Holy Day services:

  • Rosh Hashanah – Day 1: Saturday, September 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the Adult Service.
  • Yom Kippur: Monday, September 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Parents must have valid High Holy Day tickets and remain on campus while their child is in childcare.

If your child will be staying for the full day on Yom Kippur, please pack both lunch and dinner.
