Mitzvah Corps

Support our Mitzvah Corps Mother’s Day Project!

This Mother’s Day, Mitzvah Corps is proud to partner with the Los Angeles House of Ruth to support women in need in our community.

The primary goal of the Los Angeles House of Ruth (LAHR) is to empower women to move from abuse and dependency to independence and success. For over 45 years, we have provided wrap-around services and shelter to over 6,500 women and children, with a remarkable 95% success rate at placing them into permanent housing!

We will be assembling “Sparkle Bags”—thoughtfully curated care packages filled with highly requested cleaning supplies, along with a few sweet treats to bring comfort and joy to the mothers receiving them. It’s our way of recognizing both the strength and the everyday challenges these women face.

We are currently collecting monetary donations to help purchase the items for each bag.

We also invite you to join us on Sunday, May 3, at 10:30 a.m. where we will come together as a community to assemble the Sparkle Bags. It’s a meaningful and hands-on way to make a difference.

Together, we can bring a little extra care, dignity, and sweetness to others this Mother’s Day.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
