DONATE TO SOVA OR ESPERANZA IMMIGRANT Organization

Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills is supporting two very worthwhile organizations this year. You are welcome to come by the temple between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to drop off donations of non-perishable food items for SOVA or you may do so online. Diapers, formula, sanitary items, school supplies, and other necessities in support of Esperanza may be purchased online only to be delivered directly to the organization.

SOVA

Much more than a food pantry, JFS | SOVA provides free groceries and an array of supportive services to over 9,000 individuals of all ages, ethnicities and religion each month. At SOVA’s two comprehensive service centers in the Los Angeles area, they offer sustenance, opportunity, volunteerism, and advocacy. Donate your non-perishable food items to SOVA and drop them off at the temple between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. You can also make a donation online by clicking hereClick here to see a list of needed food items

ESPERANZA EMERGENCY FUND

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project helps unaccompanied refugee children (and their sponsoring families) in two ways: first, with legal advice and assistance; and second, with emergency assistance. This year the temple is focused on supporting the Esperanza Emergency Fund with gift cards, school supplies, sanitary and health supplies, clothing, and diapers and formula. You can send items directly to Esperanza via their Target and Amazon gift registries. You are also able to purchase items elsewhere and send them directly to Esperanza.
