USEFUL INFORMATION
MEMBER Tickets
High Holy Days services begin on Friday, September 11. We look forward to welcoming you!
Members in good standing will receive tickets for High Holy Day services by the end of the day on Monday, August 31. We will send your High Holy Day tickets via electronic mail. Please keep an eye on your inbox, as the email will come from SimpleTix, and read your ChaiLights for more updates!
*Valet parking is not included in member tickets and should be purchased separately.*

MEMBER Guest Tickets
Member Guest Tickets are available for extended family, out-of-town friends, and prospective members and may be purchased by members at tebh.simpletix.com.
- Guest tickets are limited to six per member and must be purchased by the Temple Emanuel member.
- Guest tickets are not available to YoPro members (ages 35 and under).
Single-Service Guest Tickets
- $150 per service
- Each ticket is valid for one service only. If a guest plans to attend more than one service, a separate ticket is required for each service.
All-Service Guest Tickets
- $500 per person
- An All-Service Guest Ticket provides access to all High Holy Days services throughout the two-week period.

Pillar Members
We are very grateful to those members who have become Pillar Members of our temple! Their significant donations, in addition to their annual membership contributions, enable Temple Emanuel to provide the innovative, cutting-edge programs for which we are known nationally.
Pillar Members receive early entry 30 minutes before services. Double Chai Pillars and above also receive complimentary valet parking. Learn more at tebh.org/pillar.
Non-Member Tickets
Our clergy is creating robust, meaningful, and spiritually uplifting services for the High Holy Days.
If you are not a member of Temple Emanuel, you may purchase Non-Member High Holy Days tickets at tebh.simpletix.com.
- Single-Service Ticket: $200 per person — Provides access to one service. If you plan to attend more than one service, you will need to purchase a separate ticket for each service.
- All-Service Ticket: $700 per person — Provides access to all High Holy Days services offered over the course of the two weeks.
Please note: A single-service ticket is valid for one service only, not one full day. For example, if you attend two different services in one day, you will need two single-service tickets.
Non-Member High Holy Days ticket purchases may be applied toward Temple Emanuel membership through December 31, 2026.

Valet & Parking
Street parking is available on Dayton Way, Clifton Way, Swall Drive, and Clark Drive. Parking restrictions are lifted by the City of Beverly Hills during High Holy Days.
Valet/Garage Parking: Complimentary valet parking will be offered to Double Chai Pillars and above. $25 parking passes per holy day are available for advanced purchase only. Valet parking is located on the north side of Dayton Way.

Assisted Listening
For those joining us in our sanctuary, we offer Assisted Listening in the Sanctuary. Simply download the Listen Wi-Fi app on Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, connect to the Temple’s Assisted Listening Wi-Fi network (case-sensitive password: Listen2TEBH), and then choose Sanctuary in the app to hear the live audio feed.
Please note the Assisted Listening Wi-Fi network only appears when you are on campus/within range—it won’t show up off-site. With gratitude, we share that this system was made possible through a generous bequest from our beloved community member Carol B. Hyman, MD—her legacy continues to enhance our communal experience.
Family SERVICE
Family service is a new Rosh Hashanah service created especially for families with children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Led by our clergy and Soul Singers, this one-hour, interactive, music-filled service offers a meaningful and engaging way to welcome the New Year together. Families with children ages 5–11 are encouraged to join us for this special celebration.
Meditation on the sand
Our clergy will meet you on the beach an hour before Tashlich for music and meditation.
TASHLICH
Tashlich will be held at Will Rogers State Beach, near Pacific Coast Highway and Temescal Canyon. Bring a blanket and a picnic and join us!

Book of Memory
The Book of Memory is used at every Yizkor Service throughout the year. The deadline for Book of Memory entries is Monday, September 7. To make a donation and confirm the names you wish to include, visit tebh.org/BookofMemory.
The Book of Memory will be available at Yom Kippur.
Our tradition suggests a meaningful donation in the memory of loved ones during this season. Thank you for supporting the temple.
YIZKOR
Yizkor will be held on Yom Kippur during the last 30 minutes of the 8:30 a.m. and noon services.
Volunteer
Our High Holy Day services are made special by the warmth and presence of our community. We invite our members to help welcome guests, assist with ushering, and other associated tasks. Security
Temple Emanuel works closely with the Beverly Hills Police Department and a private security firm to ensure the safety of our worshipers during the High Holy Days.

Family Service
Family service is a new Rosh Hashanah service created especially for families with children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Led by our clergy and Soul Singers, this one-hour, interactive, music-filled service offers a meaningful and engaging way to welcome the New Year together. Sanctuary SERVICES
Our first service on Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah Day, and Kol Nidre will feature the intergenerational choir and all ages are welcome.
YOUNG CHILDREN’S Service – High Holy Days IN THE yard
Our Young Children’s Service, High Holy Days in the Yard, is a great opportunity for families with young children to enjoy an hour prayer experience filled with stories, songs, arts and crafts, and the shofar blast!
These services for young children ages 8 and below and their families will take place outdoors at Temple Emanuel’s ECC Yard at 9:45 a.m. Rabbi Liora Alban and Jason Mesches, will offer songs, stories, and welcome the new year together, complete with the sound of the shofar. Non-members can purchase tickets for Spark in the Yard here.
Meditation On the sand
After our sanctuary services and before Tashlich, reflect upon your year with an hour of melody, meditation, and silence with Rabbi Jonathan Aaron. Incorporating traditional High Holy Day themes and notions, refresh your mind and soul through reflective poetry and meditation, and renew yourself through wordless melodies that uplift the spirit. Celebrate creation in a silence that allows you to really feel the sand on your feet, the wind in your face, and hear the sound of the shofar accompanied by waves upon the shore. The service is open to all ages.
Tashlich
Tashlich will be held at Will Rogers State Beach.
Families with young children are invited for Tashlich, too.

A Conversation with Rabbi Jonathan Aaron
An inspirational conversation with those who chose Judaism

YIZKOR
Yizkor will be held on Yom Kippur during the last 30 minutes of the 8:30 a.m. and noon services.
NEILAH
The concluding prayers for Yom Kippur will begin at 6 p.m. We invite you to join us at 4:30 p.m. for the Reading of Jonah meditation, followed by the opening of the Ark.

Rabbi Liora Alban and Jason Mesches will lead a joyful service featuring songs, stories, and the sound of the shofar as we welcome the New Year together.

Childcare
Temple Emanuel will offer childcare for potty-trained children through age 8 during the following High Holy Day services:
- Rosh Hashanah – Day 1: Saturday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the Adult Service.
- Yom Kippur: Monday, September 21, from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Parents must have valid High Holy Day tickets and remain on campus while their child is in childcare.
If your child will be staying for the full day on Yom Kippur, please pack both lunch and dinner.

Elul Class
Join Rabbi Aaron as he teaches about Elul and how it helps prepare us for the High Holy Days. Please note that this class is offered in person only.
MEDITATION ON THE SAND
Tuesday, Sept 12, 4:30 p.m.
After our Rosh Hashanah Day service, join Rabbi Jonathan Aaron at Will Rogers State Beach (PCH & Temescal Canyon Road) for a calming, guided practice of breath, quiet reflection, and intention-setting.
With the ocean as our soundtrack, we’ll notice what we hope to carry forward and what we can gently release, grounding ourselves in our 5787 theme, “Hineini – Here I Am • Here We Are.”

Tuesday, Sept 12, 5:30 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., gather with our clergy at Will Rogers State Beach (PCH & Temescal Canyon Road) for Tashlich—a ritual for all generations.
Together we’ll reflect on what we’re ready to release and center our intentions for the year ahead, making space for the choices that bring purpose, connection, and joy. Bring a towel or chair for comfort! This simple, family-friendly ritual is open and welcoming to all.
YOM KIPPUR
CONTEMPORARY ISSUES FORUM
Monday, September 21 at 3 p.m. • Corwin Family Sanctuary
Instead of emphasizing our role of being present for others, there are times when something or someone can be present for us. Our Contemporary Issues Forum will explore those times when Judaism itself can serve as a catalyst of change, uplift, and self-realization. Our panel will share their individual journeys of searching for meaning, finding it within Jewish tradition and the Jewish community.

High Holy Days DONATION Drive
Bring new or gently used K–5 storybooks and new hardcover Harry Potter books for our annual Access Books drive, supporting public schools throughout Southern California.

Join us for Shabbat Morning at Emanuel with Sukkot Festival Yizkor on Saturday, October 3. As we celebrate Sukkot, come together in prayer, reflection, and community for a meaningful Shabbat morning that includes the sacred tradition of Yizkor, as we remember those we have loved and lost. All are welcome.
