Ethan Rosenberg Bar Mitzvah – June 19, 2021

Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills

I am a 7th grader at Milken Community Schools. I really like cooking as a hobby and truly enjoy supporting efforts to help the homeless. My parents are Michelle Armoni and Kevin Rosenberg.
I have a 16 year old brother named Zack and we have fun together now that he drives. For my mitzvah project I worked with PATH. PATH’s mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. They envision a world where every person has a home.

I created a fundraiser on Go Fund Me and raised over $5,000 which we put to good use. We bought ample supplies to handout 150 wellness kits to the homeless on Skid Row. I still have more funds and plan to cook for homeless veterans when Covid allows me to do so. I will be celebrating my Bar Mitzvah at my grandmother’s ranch in Illinois and I am very thankful to Rabbi Bassin who is flying all the way to officiate! Special thanks go out to my family, Allison Bluestein, Rabbi Bassin, Cantor Weiss and Karen Porper who are supporting all my bar mitzvah efforts.

We make a living by what we get, but make a life by what we give. – Winston Churchill
