Wildfire Safety Tips
- Sign up for alerts: Get free emergency alerts at ready.ca.gov. Choose text, email, or calls to stay informed.
- Make a plan: Prepare for power outages—have backup plans for medical devices, medicines, and ways to charge your phone (like power banks or solar chargers).
- Don’t wait, evacuate: Follow evacuation warnings (get ready) and orders (leave immediately).
Wind Safety Tips
- Avoid power lines: Never touch or drive over downed power lines. If one falls on your vehicle, stay inside and call 911.
- Stay inside: High winds can cause flying debris. Take shelter and avoid trees and power lines.
- Drive cautiously: Slow down, keep distance from other vehicles, and watch for debris on roads.
May you and your loved ones remain safe and protected.
