Ben Stoll Bar Mitzvah-October 10, 2020

Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills

I am in 7th grade at my new school, Campbell Hall. I love watching and playing sports, playing video games with my friends and also spending time with my family. My parents’ names are Lisa and Adam Stoll. I’m their middle child, sandwiched between my two sisters, Lauren and Becca. We also have two yellow labradors named Renly and Ryder whom I love very much.

For my mitzvah project, I volunteered at Tree People, an environmental non-profit organization that cleans up forests across California while also planting new trees to help the environment. Volunteers help clear out debris left behind by wildfires while also planting new trees and plants to replace ones that were burned down. Unfortunately, I did not get to volunteer many times before Covid-19 but I am going to continue volunteering at Tree People once it is safe again.

I would like to thank Rabbi Aaron, Cantor Weiss, Allison Bluestein, and my Mom and Dad for helping me prepare for my Bar Mitzvah.

There may be people who have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do. – Derek Jeter
