Hi, my name is Ella Shams-Schaal. I am a freshman at Hamilton High school. My mom, Ladan Shams, is a neuroscientist and studies the brain. My brother, Leon, is a senior in high school. 
I love music and play the violin. I also like to read.

For my mitzvah project I became involved with an organization called Jewish World Watch. I worked with the group to help thousands of refugees to be safe. Together with my classmate, Charlie Clayton, I raised awareness and tried to raise funds for this cause. 

I would like to thank Rabbi Bassin, Cantor Weiss, Shelly Kamara and Josh Goldberg for their support in helping me prepare for my Bat Mitzvah.
