I am in 7th grade at Thomas Starr King Middle School. I like swimming, reading, zip lining, and hanging out with friends. My parents are Shauna and Steve Segal. I have an older sister named Abigail, who is 16.
For my mitzvah project I will be volunteering at Fur Baby Rescue, an amazing organization. Fur Baby Rescue provides a temporary, safe home for cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens. They rescue these animals from a lot of places in various ways. Some of the animals come from high kill shelters, some from the streets, and some animals from people who can’t care for their pets anymore. I love volunteering at Fur Baby Rescue.
I would like to thank Rabbi Bassin, Cantor Weiss, and Shelly Kamara for helping me prepare for my Bat Mitzvah.
