Henry Unger Bar Mitzvah – December 11, 2021

Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills

My name is Henry Unger, and I am currently in the 7th grade at Brentwood School. I love playing tennis, football, chess, and hanging out with my friends. I enjoy traveling with my family and exploring new and exciting places. My parents are Susan Unger and Daniel Unger; I have an older sister, Dylan, who is Sophomore at Brentwood School, a half-brother, Luca, who is 7-months old and a dog, Teddy, who is an 8-year-old Labradoodle.

For my Mitzvah Project, I have taken part in Temple Emanuel’s weekly Pandemic Food Drive. Each Sunday I volunteer to make at least 10 sack lunches for our fellow Angelinos without a home and drop them off at various locations where they are distributed to various shelters around the city where they are most in need. It’s a great way to give back to our community especially during COVID.

I would like to thank Rabbi Aaron, Cantor Weiss, Allison Bluestein and my family for helping me prepare for my Bar Mitzvah.
