I am an 8th grader at Beverly Vista. I have a strong passion for music, traveling, and interesting cuisine. My parents are Yael and Geoff Rendon. I have an 11-year-old brother named Joseph. I love spending time with my labradoodle, Callie.
For my mitzvah project, I volunteered at Wags & Walks. Wags & Walks is a non-profit organization that shelters dogs. Volunteers have the opportunity to spend one on one time with the dogs by walking, feeding, and playing with them. From the time I started volunteering, I have walked over 60 dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes. By helping these animals, it has given me a larger perspective of the world and the difficulties therein. Wags & Walks takes a challenge and turns it into a success.
I would like to thank Rabbi Aaron, Cantor Weiss, Shelly Kamara, and Laurie Goodman for helping me prepare for my Bat Mitzvah.
