Natalie Storm Bat Mitzvah – June 26, 2021

Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills

Hello! My name is Natalie Storm and I am about to become a bat mitzvah. My parents are Rachel and Tony Storm. I have 2 younger siblings – Charlie who is 7, and Olivia who is 4. In my free time I enjoy reading, baking, arts and crafts, and watching TV.

For my bat-mitzvah project, I wrote a letter to Lester Friedman, the mayor of Beverly Hills at the time. I wrote to him about closing the gender wage gap and gender equality. This issue is very important to me because why shouldn’t everyone have equal opportunity, regardless of their gender, race, sexual orientation, or anything for that matter! I’d like to thank Rabbi Lutz, Rabbi Aaron, Shelly Kamara, Karen Porper, Rabbi Bassin, Cantor Weiss and the rest of the people who helped me at Temple Emanuel, for all of their hard work preparing me to become a bat mitzvah.
