Shelby Rosenmayer Bat Mitzvah-May 14, 2022

Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills

Hi my name is Shelby Rosenmayer and I am in the 7th grade at Paul Revere Middle School where my favorite subjects are math and history. I enjoy playing softball and other sports in my spare time. My parents are Olga and Michael and I have a younger brother named Zack who is 10 years old. I also have a dog named Lulu. I have the sweetest and most caring grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

For my mitzvah project I chose the topic of cancer research. This is important to me because my brother had cancer when he was younger, my great grandma recently got diagnosed with cancer, and two of my friends died from it. I want to find a cure to cancer, so people can live their lives the way they want to live it.

I would like to thank my family, Rabbi Aaron, Cantor Weiss, Shelly Kamara and Judy Kandel for helping me prepare for my Bat Mitzvah, as well as Karen Porper and my religious school teachers, Elana Ackerman Hirsch and Izzy Salant.

Talent is nothing without dedication.
